Abbey N.
Swedish Relaxation Massage
Abbey is a graduate of the Bancroft School of Massage Therapy. After years of honing in her psychic abilities through practicing divination via Tarot, Lenormand, mediumship, and deep listening, Abbey applied to school for massage therapy in order to learn to ground her intuition into her own body and aid others in doing the same. She believes that all people are intuitive and that intuition comes through attunement, “to make harmonious” - from her perspective, living from a place of inner authenticity and therefore being receptive to the authentic experience of others. This is the core of her practice, attuning to the client and holding a container for the client to connect to their authentic experience with love and compassion. Each session with Abbey, therefore, is unique and depends on the needs of the client in the current moment. She believes that people must know, love, and find safety in their inner world in order to be able to express themselves safely in the outer world, and that massage therapy is a way for people to practice vulnerability and receive loving, openhearted acceptance from the outside world through the container the practitioner holds. Through this practice, as clients begin to experience acceptance in their vulnerability each and every session, they can begin to map safety within the experience of vulnerability and have more confidence in other aspects of their lives. Due to these beliefs, Abbey holds a deep passion for working with marginalized communities, especially survivors of complex trauma and/or sexual abuse. Abbey’s name is the word for a building that holds religious communities, aka a “sacred space” - her name fully reflects her values, that our bodies are our sacred homes in which we live and experience peace, and massage therapy can help us to map safety, pleasantness, and trust in our embodied experience.
Abbey’s work feels like a sacred container, with deep calming pressure, slow strokes, and relaxing energy work. Every massage is unique and depends on the needs of the client.
