What to Wear:
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing that can be easily rolled up to your elbows and knees. We’ll need access to areas like your arms, legs, and sometimes your back or abdomen—no need to change, just come cozy and relaxed! -
Does it hurt?
Most people feel little to no pain—acupuncture needles are very thin, about the width of a hair. You might feel a quick pinch, a tingle, or a dull sensation as the needle is placed, but many people find the experience relaxing and even fall asleep during their treatment! -
Can I talk during treatment?
In one-on-one acupuncture sessions, absolutely—you're welcome to share how you're feeling or ask questions throughout your treatment. In our Community Acupuncture setting, we ask that you help maintain the calm, meditative space by speaking softly or saving conversations for before or after your session. It’s part of what makes the experience so peaceful for everyone.
-
Is it okay if I’m new to acupuncture to come for Community Acupuncture?
Yes—this is the perfect time to try it! Community Acupuncture is a relaxed, low-pressure way to experience the benefits of acupuncture, whether you're brand new or a seasoned pro. Feel free to bring a friend and enjoy the calm, healing energy together. -
How often should I come?
It depends on your unique needs and goals. Our acupuncture provider will help create a personalized treatment plan for you. For some, that might mean weekly sessions for 4–8 weeks; for others, every couple of weeks over a few months works best. Regular visits help build momentum, so we’ll guide you toward the rhythm that supports your healing. -
When will I see results?
Some people feel better right after their first session, while others notice gradual improvement over a few treatments. It really depends on what you’re coming in for and how your body responds. Acupuncture works cumulatively, so consistent visits often lead to the best results. Your provider will check in with you and adjust your treatment as needed along the way.
