Therapeutic Touch & Movement

A man smiles, he has short hair and wears a black shirt

Boston-area native Jamie Simpson practices an eclectic style of bodywork, based on Swedish massage techniques, and informed by years of yoga and breath work practice, as well as 10+ years as a nursing assistant and personal caregiver.

A 2016 graduate of The Massage School in Boston, Jamie’s training included elements of myofascial release, deep tissue & sports massage, reflexology and Shiatsu. Practice since graduation has broadened Jamie’s skills to include Thai massage, reiki (Reiki Master II certification), and cupping.

Believing that every kind of bodywork offers benefit, Jamie strives to integrate these into his practice, and to keep exploring and growing, in the service of his clients. In an individual session or over a course of treatment, his goal is to help you reach yours, be it deep relaxation and relief from stress and anxiety, to targeting specific areas from heavy / repetitive use, injury recovery / prevention, etc.

Breath is the foundation of life, and Jamie incorporates mindful breathing and awareness in his bodywork to help you shed long-held tension patterns, feel centered, and fully at home in your body.

Jamie’s work feels like…"He will guide you through your breathing as he begins to glide over your muscles. His massage uses less oil and focuses on shaking loose the tense points in your body. He uses his strength to help stretch your relaxed limbs and knead away lingering tightness. " -Abby

Man often becomes what he believes himself to be. If I keep on saying to myself that I cannot do a certain thing, it is possible that I may end by really becoming incapable of doing it. On the contrary, if I have the belief that I can do it, I shall surely acquire the capacity to do it even if I may not have it at the beginning.
