Anna C.
Experienced Healer
You might be wondering about the depth of training at the Kiev School of Massage Therapy and how it compares to massage therapy education in the United States. In Ukraine, massage therapists receive a rigorous foundation in manual therapy, medical massage, and anatomy. Programs often emphasize a clinical, rehabilitative orientation, integrating disciplines like pathophysiology, kinesiology, and neurology—often at a level comparable to physical therapy assistant training in the U.S. Ukrainian massage therapists are commonly prepared to work in medical or clinical environments, which elevates the standards for anatomical and clinical knowledge far beyond what’s typically required in American massage schools.
Anna has 25 years of experience as a massage therapist. Born in Kiev, Ukraine, Anna holds a Master's degree in Biology and Nutrition from Kiev's State University. She graduated with honors from Kiev's Massage Therapy Institute in 1994 and has been working in the field in both Ukraine and the U.S. to perfect her technique, which awarded her the “Best of Boston” massage therapist title in the Metro West in 2002. Anna's extensive training in anatomy and physiology helps her to identify the deep rooted problem that her client is seeking help with. Once Anna diagnoses the problem, she devises a treatment plan. Anna then works on the unique treatment needed for each client.
Anna specializes in hot stone therapy, deep tissue, isolated stretching and cupping.
