Master Therapist Specializing In Firm Swedish Massage & Thai Massage

Jenn is a graduate from Lincoln Technical Institute in Somerville, MA class of January 2023, after completing her clinicals at Water house in December 2022. Her studies focused on Swedish Techniques and Deep Tissue work, and she’s recently taken continuing ed in Traditional Thai Mat Massage as well as Integrative Stretching. She is excited to continue learning new modalities and techniques throughout her career.

She originally started with massage as a recreational thing for friends and family. She was previously a graduate of Johnson & Wales University in Providence, R.I., with a Bachelor’s in Baking and Pastry Arts and Food Service Management, starting out in bakery retail. With the plan to kind of always stay in the hospitality field and Covid making it hard to stay in a bakery, she moved onto being a residential concierge and then to T.J. Maxx, where she decided Massage was the next step after thinking about it for a few years. She went to Lincoln Tech thinking she was getting a tour, but she found out it was actually an admissions interview and started classes a month later.

A teacher suggested getting her foot in the door at a spa or wellness place while in school, so Jenn did just that. Starting at Water House in July 2022 at the front desk, she watched how the practitioners interacted with their clients in the lobby, before and after their massage, acupuncture, or skin care appointment. She learned more in depth about what best counts as aftercare to these sessions and had the ability to ask the practitioners questions, things that as a real world practitioner she would need to know, and not just the structure and techniques the school was teaching her. She used her clinical time to work on various therapists and clients to become more comfortable and confident, to gain invaluable feedback, and received some of the most helpful one-on-one training.

With a focus on relaxation, Jenn enjoys helping others to learn about healthy touch and all the benefits that come with a more holistic approach to wellness. She works best with people who are looking to relax and really get in touch with themselves.

Outside of the world of Massage Therapy, you’ll find Jenn cuddled up with her two cats and partner watching Below Deck or Ted Lasso. Ask her about her absolute obsession with Sloths (and you might get to peep her tattoo) and she’ll talk your ear off. With a love for the slow mundane things, like excel spreadsheets, standing in the rain, and periodically building things for Water House, she embraces the idea of slowing down and finding the perfection in every moment life has to offer.

While she doesn’t consider herself as a deep tissue therapist, her boss and coworkers may tell you differently.

Jenn’s work feels like a firm, medium pressure massage that addresses a full body approach (back, legs, arms, neck, hands and feet) to relaxation. This massage is for you if you would like to slow down, sink into your body and tune out the world.

Thai massage feels like a deep, assisted stretch combined with rhythmic pressure—a blend of acupressure, compression, and yoga-like movements. Instead of lying passively on a table, you’ll be guided through gentle stretches while the therapist applies firm, intentional pressure along energy lines to release tension and improve circulation.

Thai Massage

Thai massage is excellent for addressing a wide range of physical and energetic concerns. It’s particularly effective for:

Muscular & Joint Tension:

  • Chronic stiffness – Loosens tight muscles, especially in the hips, shoulders, and back.

  • Limited flexibility – Encourages greater range of motion through assisted stretching.

  • Postural imbalances – Helps counteract the effects of prolonged sitting, standing, or repetitive movements.

  • Joint mobility – Gentle, passive movements help lubricate joints and ease stiffness.

Pain & Discomfort Relief:

  • Lower back pain – Releases tension in the hips and lower spine.

  • Neck and shoulder pain – Especially helpful for tech neck and upper body tension.

  • Sciatica – Helps alleviate pressure along the sciatic nerve through targeted stretches.

  • Headaches & migraines – Relieves tension in the neck, scalp, and facial muscles.

Athletic Performance & Recovery:

  • Prepares the body for movement – Improves mobility and flexibility for athletes, yogis, and active individuals.

  • Aids in recovery – Reduces post-workout stiffness and speeds up muscle recovery.

  • Prevents injuries – Helps maintain muscle balance and joint health.

Circulatory & Energetic Benefits:

  • Boosts circulation – Improves blood flow and lymphatic drainage, helping with swelling and detoxification.

  • Encourages relaxation & mental clarity – The rhythmic, meditative movements help reduce stress and promote mindfulness.

  • Balances energy – Thai massage follows the body’s sen lines (similar to meridians in acupuncture) to restore energetic flow.

Stress & Nervous System Regulation:

  • Deep relaxation – The combination of stretching, acupressure, and rhythmic movement activates the parasympathetic nervous system, reducing stress and promoting calm.

  • Improves sleep – Helps regulate the nervous system for better rest.

  • Reduces anxiety & mental fatigue – The flowing movements and deep breathing guidance create a meditative state.

Thai massage is great for those who feel stiff, sluggish, or overworked—it’s like a full-body reset that leaves you feeling both relaxed and invigorated.

Playlist

We have invited our therapists to link to a playlist that speaks to their personality or that is a sample of what would be played during a massage.

“My music taste, and my music mood, are forever changing. This morning I might be playing the James Taylor Radio on spotify, before switching to a Qveen Herby playlist, on-to a medieval instrumental vibe, before settling on today’s top hits or today’s folk pop.” - Jenn T.

What To Expect:

Therapeutic & Thai Massage:

Your session will start with a brief discussion about your health, stress and problem areas.

Based on the information from your intake, Jenn will devise a massage plan for your session that will best suit your specific needs. Each massage at water house is therapeutic, custom and tailored to the tension you report in your body and what the massage therapist finds when working on you.

Therapeutic massage clients will undress and climb under sheets and our providers uncover what they are working on and then cover you back up.

Thai massage clients will remain clothed and be treated on a mat without oil or cream.

“Always see the storm as a way to better things. It’s always prettier on the other side, you just have to ride it out.” - Jenn T.

The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.
