Slow & Serene

Sophia Rose draws from her teachings to create a holistic and therapeutic session personalized to each client and their unique needs. A 2019 graduate of Florida School of Massage, she studied Swedish Massage, Connective Tissue Therapy, Neuromuscular Therapy, Polarity Therapy, Sports Massage, and Hydrotherapy. She also became certified in the sacred art of Thai Massage which has brought a compassionate mindfulness into her practice and everyday life. With a thorough understanding of the body and keen awareness through palpation she is able to locate and treat areas of tension and holding while creating a safe and sacred space for therapeutic change.

Drawing on her undergraduate education in psychology and years working in elementary special education, Sophia Rose is fascinated by the body-mind connection and the human nervous system. She hopes to bring a holistic awareness to each session guiding each client to a state of relaxation and ease in their body, mind, and soul.

Sophia’s work feels like.. Melting through tension with slow strokes where the shea butter grips the muscles and pulls deeply from the attachment. This work is myofascial release with some grippy lubricant.

Playlist

We have invited our therapists to link to a playlist that speaks to their personality or that is a sample of what would be played during a massage.

Be like the bird who, pausing in her flight awhile on boughs too slight, feels them give way beneath her, and yet sings, knowing she hath wings.
